Six people dead in Danao City and Carmen, Cebu on April 16, 2017.
Six persons are confirmed dead after flash floods caused by heavy rain hit several barangays in Danao City and Carmen town in northern Cebu on Sunday, according to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO).
A mother and her two children were washed away in a flash flood in Carmen town at dawn of Easter Sunday. Their bodies were recovered around 5:30 a.m.
A grandmother and her grandson were also washed away by floodwaters. Their bodies were found around 9 a.m.
In neighboring Danao City, a woman also drowned in the flood.
