Julian Garcia, Grandson of Cebu Doctors Hospital Owner Kidnapped, Freed

A scion of the Larrazabal clan who was reportedly kidnapped has been found and is being treated for minor injuries. Julian Iñaki Larazzabal Garcia, 26, grandson of Cebu Doctors' University Hospital (CDUH) owner Dr. Potenciano Larrazabal Jr., was allegedly kidnapped on F. Ramos Ext., Barangay Sta. Cruz, Cebu City at past 8 a.m. Saturday.

Garcia, a medical intern, is being treated for a wound on his knee in a hospital in Cebu City. The kidnappers allegedly knocked him with a hard object.

According to Councilor Dave Tumulak, Garcia was kicked and punched by the suspects as they were travelling onboard the van. The suspects' vehicle was reportedly situated beside Garcia's parked car when they forcibly abducted him.

Garcia was abandoned about two hours later by the kidnappers in Sitio Dan-dan in Barangay Poblacion 1, Carcar City, about 40 kilometers south of Cebu City.
