City of Cebu, Province of Cebu with its component cities will likely enjoy a four-day long weekend if Sept 12 (Eid’l Adha) will be declared a holiday.
September 9 (Friday) is declared a non-working holiday in honor of the late President Sergio Osmeña, Sr. according to Republic Act No. 6953.
Filipino Muslims will join the rest of the Islamic world in observing Eid’l Adha or the annual feast of sacrifice during the second week of September.

As mandated by Republic Act (RA) 9849, that day is going to be a regular national holiday.
However, President Rodrigo Duterte will issue a proclamation designating the final date for the holiday soon upon the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF).
