Cebu City and Ceres Bus Liner to Partner for routes of Call Center Agents

Night bus routes to serve call center agents in Cebu City. The Ceres Bus Liner and Cebu City Government is partnering for the routes in the city to cater the transportation problem of call center agents.

Buses will soon serve call center agents in Cebu City from 10 p.m. to early in the morning. Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña is setting it up, concerned over the safety of call center agents who report for work or go off duty late at night or early in the morning.

The mayor said call center agents are discouraged from working the graveyard shift. “The biggest concern of call center agents is on working at night. It’s not safe. The cost of transportation is high, and they get inadequate service from transportation operators,” Osmeña said in a Cebu Daily News story.

The city is now partnering with Ceres Bus Liner in order to provide call center workers affordable and safe transportation late and night and in the wee hours of dawn.
