Typhoon Ruby nears, to hit Northern Samar, Eastern Samar

Typhoon "Ruby" Hagupit nears, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar and Samar have been placed under storm signal number 3.
Ruby has maintained its strength, packing winds of up to 195 kilometers per hour near the center with gustiness of up to 230 kph.
It is now about 230 kilometers east northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar and may make landfall early Sunday morning.
Weather bureau PAGASA said the typhoon has slowed down, which means it will stay a little longer in the country.
PAGASA warned Metro Manila is also expected to be affected by typhoon Ruby and a storm signal may be raised by tomorrow.
